how many of you did like i did and sometimes added a little more time to our report than we actually had?
i felt so bad when i maybe had only one hour so i would put down maybe 3. you know there was all the incidental witnessing!
i'm so glad the pressure is off and i can enjoy a saturday at home doing nothing.it seems kinda strange that a person would even need to turn time in, just do what you felt you could do and don't be obligated to let anyone know how much it was.
I fudged a few times too. I don't think it is a big issue. I have been reasoning on some of the practices of jw's and this is one that sticks in my craw. I wonder if Jesus hounded the 12 to turn in their time slips on time. I wonder if Paul told Timothy about what a fine quality it is to develop a good and proper time slip and to get it in on time.
The more I look at it this wt-BS is nothing more than corporate stooge making at its very worst.

What I do if I can think of it is type up my responses or original posts in WORD and use that spell checker. Then I cut and paste it into the browser.

hi, could someone please show me in the scriptures where it is taught that there was a time before god begot his son, and/or that god produced his son not from out of his very own being (as the orthodox and catholic churches teach) but rather from out of that which did not exist?
Excellent question. I am not sure there is a scripture that says it. What I have read about Jesus is that he is the only begotten Son of God, and that He was brought forth as with birth pains. Sort of makes it sound like He came from The Father to me.

the ones i know are either life long window cleaners with little education behind them or ex army /police /teacher types that are used to public talking and a bit of power , which ones did you find were the best elders ie kind and caring , i would go for the uneducated window cleaner /manual worker type by my experiance , in fact it was because the intelligent ones believed it was "the truth" that made me think well it must be true if he believes it
Not so much uneducated as not college educated. The nicest elder I knew was once a heroin addict/coyote with a prison record for murder. My mom always said the college / business / super achiever elders were a bunch of educated idiots.....
my biggest reason: the religion is stupid.

Hi, just an update to my pervious thread. I have left several messages with APS to report the elder abuse of my father in law by his wife. So far no responses, but maybe they will just show up. My wife has confronted her once again and the bitch just gives this saintly pose and says that it is all BS, she is a pioneer and Jehovah is on her side. She knows we have seen her acts of neglect and verbal and psychological abuse and she remains in denial. He has been getting sicker and we took him to the doctor and reported the situation. He is duty bound to alert the authorities he said. Maybe his clout is what is needed to get L.E. involved? We have spoken to the overlords many times and they remain under her pioneer spell. Their lack of concern is apalling! I am going to document everything the boe does so my fil can have some recourse with the Sheriff.
I want to thank you guys for your ideas and concern. I will keep you up to date on his situation.
growing up in the spanish congregation in chicago - i knew 4-5 of this supposed anointed.
all of them no longer are jw, 2-3 of them started their own religionthe other 2 was a mother and son.
they never went house to house, never raised their hands in meetings, never went to the book study we held is our own private homes.
My dad professed to be of the anointed. Then there was one sister who lived next door to us when I was little. There is one near where I live now and he seems ok. One in particular was in Sacramento. She was a serious nutjob and had been disfellowshipped several times. She even called her son satan.....
